A composed innings from Arnav, who carried his bat for an excellent 47 from 56 balls, provided the backbone of the innings. He was well supported by Dhruv, whose fluent 36 from 37 deliveries helped Wilson’s post a competitive total of 119-7 from their 20 overs.
Langley Park made a strong start to their chase, with their opening pair putting on 81 in the first 11 overs, leaving Wilson’s facing an uphill battle. However, the boys showed tremendous character to fight their way back into the game. Arnav capped an outstanding all-round performance by taking three wickets, while Saksham claimed two as the bowlers applied increasing pressure and turned the match into a tense finish.
Needing just five runs from the final over, Langley Park eventually got over the line with three balls to spare, despite Wilson’s spirited comeback.
Although the result didn’t go our way, the boys can be proud of the resilience and determination they showed to take the game right to the end after being under pressure for much of the chase. There were plenty of positives to take from the performance, particularly Arnav’s all-round display and the team’s refusal to give in.
Wilson’s U13A produced a superb all-round team performance which saw them progress to the semi-finals with an impressive 48-run victory over Emanuel.
After losing the toss, Wilson’s were put into bat and made a difficult start, slipping to 17-3 after four overs, including the loss of opener Arjun with the final ball of the first over. The boys knew that disciplined bowling would be key, and they delivered exactly that. Openers Vayun (4-0-14-1) and Player of the Match Tritish (4-2-12-5) set the tone with outstanding spells, combining accuracy with relentless pressure. Backed up by sharp fielding throughout, Emanuel never managed to build any momentum. Further wickets for Arnav, Raghavan and Naitik ensured the innings was wrapped up for just 66 in 18.5 overs.

They were well supported by Vaishno (4-0-17-3), whose excellent spell highlighted the value of consistent line and length.
Whitgift never really managed to break free, although their aggressive running between the wickets kept the scoreboard moving. A hostile four-over spell from the impressive Akshat (4-0-19-0) ensured Whitgift finished on 108-6, leaving us a very achievable target of 109 at just under 5.5 runs per over.
Akshat then carried his fine form from the weekend into the run chase, striking four boundaries and a six in an excellent innings of 32. His positive approach kept us well in touch with the required rate before he was dismissed in the 11th over. Arnav added a useful 12, but it was the crucial partnership between Vivaan (22) and Nilan (15) that put us in a strong position, reducing the target to just 20 runs with four overs remaining.
The game took another twist as three run-outs left us needing 8 from the final 7 deliveries. Thankfully, Vaishno (15*) held his nerve, smashing a vital boundary before Vishnu ensured he kept the strike. Fittingly, Vaishno sealed the victory by driving the third ball of the final over for two runs.

A positive start from opener Arjun, who made a well-compiled 29, gave Wilson’s the ideal platform to build on. Guhan then played a superb innings of 51, while Sarvesh added a valuable 25 to keep the scoreboard moving. A blistering late cameo from Tritish, who struck 17 from just 7 balls, provided the perfect finish as Wilson’s posted an imposing total of 147 from their 20 overs.
In reply, Langley Park were immediately put under pressure by disciplined seam bowling, which kept the scoring rate in check and ensured the required run rate continued to climb. Once the spinners were introduced, the mounting scoreboard pressure led to regular wickets.
Raghavan claimed one wicket, Naitik picked up two, and Sarvesh produced an outstanding spell of 3-8 to put Wilson’s firmly in control. Tritish returned to the attack at the end of the innings and wrapped up the victory by bowling the final two batters, with Langley Park dismissed for 101.

The bowlers were outstanding throughout, maintaining a consistent line and length that made scoring extremely difficult for the Langley Park batters. Backed up by some excellent fielding, Wilson’s restricted the opposition to just 63-6 from their allotted overs.
A special mention also goes to wicketkeeper Darsh, whose improvement behind the stumps was evident, with very few byes conceded and a tidy performance throughout the innings.
In reply, Wilson’s made light work of the target thanks to an explosive opening partnership. Vivaan struck a powerful 24 from just 15 balls, while Rishaan was equally impressive with an unbeaten 28 from only 19 deliveries. Their positive approach ensured the chase was completed in just six overs, sealing an emphatic victory.
Wilson’s 1st XI won the toss and elected to field against KCS. A combination of positive batting from the visitors and a few costly dropped catches allowed KCS to post a competitive total of 146-4 from their 20 overs. Rayyan was the pick of the Wilson’s bowlers, producing an excellent spell of 2-29 from his four overs to keep the scoring under control.
In reply, the innings belonged to Adhrit, who produced one of the finest knocks of the season. With wickets falling regularly around him, he played a magnificent unbeaten century, finishing with 100 of Wilson’s 143 runs. His innings was built on superb shot selection, composure under pressure and powerful stroke play, keeping Wilson’s in the hunt throughout the chase.
Needing 10 runs from the final over, Wilson’s still had every chance of pulling off a memorable victory. However, KCS held their nerve, delivering an excellent final over to concede just six runs and seal a hard-fought four-run win.
Although the result went against Wilson’s, there were plenty of positives to take from the match. Adhrit’s outstanding century was a truly exceptional innings.
Wilson's U14B won the toss and elected to field against Carshalton U14a. Disciplined bowling from across the team restricted Carshalton to just 70. There were excellent contributions throughout the innings, with special mentions for Ashwin, whose remarkable spell of 2-2-0-1 included two maiden overs, and Rafa, who returned impressive figures of 3-1-5-1. Further wickets for Jai, Akshaj and two for Dora ensured Car Boys were never able to build any momentum.
With a modest target to chase, Wilson’s took the opportunity to shuffle the batting order. The boys made light work of the total, reaching it in just nine overs, aided by a number of extras. Arjun Nair top-scored with an unbeaten 26 from 18 balls, while Diaab made 12 from 13 and Dora added 13 from 20 to see the team home comfortably.
It was a day of huge highs and heart-breaking lows for Wilson’s U15A in the Knight Stokes Cup with the boys ultimately finishing third after a dramatic semi-final defeat before bouncing back impressively in the play-off.
In the semi-final against Woking, Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bat first. Luca provided an excellent start with a fluent 37 from 26 balls, while Olly continued his fine form with 18 from 14. At that stage, Wilson’s were well placed, but a sequence of unnecessary run-outs cost the innings valuable momentum as three wickets fell for the addition of just 10 runs. The boys recovered well thanks to some powerful late hitting from Vidur, finishing on a competitive 128.
With the ball, Wilson’s controlled much of the chase, keeping Woking behind the required run rate throughout. However, a number of dropped catches and a high number of wides allowed the opposition to stay in the contest. Needing 20 from the final two overs, Wilson’s looked to have one foot in the final, and an outstanding caught-and-bowled by Sevin removed Woking’s main batter at a crucial moment.
The game still appeared under control as Woking slipped to nine wickets down, needing 13 from the final over. In a dramatic finish, however, a combination of wides and missed opportunities proved costly, and Woking edged home by a single wicket.
It was a hugely disappointing result, particularly as Wilson’s had put themselves in a winning position. Three areas ultimately proved decisive:
- Unnecessary run-outs that halted a promising innings.
- Crucial dropped catches at key moments.
- A total of 19 wides, including two in the final over.
Credit to Woking, who carried their momentum into the final and defeated Tiffin comfortably to lift the trophy.

Rain revised the target, leaving Kingsdale needing 122 from 15 overs, but Wilson’s never allowed them into the contest. Disciplined bowling and regular wickets prevented any meaningful partnerships from developing, restricting Kingsdale to 66-7 and securing an excellent victory to finish the day on a positive note.
Although missing out on a place in the final was difficult to take, there were plenty of positives across the day. The boys showed they have the quality to compete with anyone, and the experience will serve them well going forward. The response in the third-place play-off demonstrated the character and resilience of the squad, ensuring they finished the competition with a well-deserved win.
Wilson’s U12A produced another excellent all-round performance to record a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Langley Park.

Wilson’s U15A produced a disciplined all-round performance to secure an impressive 19-run victory over Alleyn’s School.

In reply, the Wilson’s bowlers kept the Alleyn’s batters under constant pressure with disciplined lines and lengths, making scoring difficult throughout the innings. As the required run rate increased, wickets began to fall at regular intervals, preventing Alleyn’s from building any meaningful partnerships.
The pressure eventually told as Alleyn’s were bowled out in the 19th over, handing Wilson’s a deserved 19-run victory.
Wilson's U14A lost the toss and were asked to bat first against Alleyn's School. A superb 52* (retired) from just 20 balls by Prateek set the tone for the innings. Kiaan provided excellent support with 22 from 24 balls before Darsh accelerated brilliantly, retiring on 63 from just 30 deliveries to propel us to an imposing total of 211-4.
Defending 211, we mixed up the bowling order and Nimey found himself on the receiving end of some aggressive hitting as Alleyn’s kept up with the required rate through the first five overs. However, once we settled into more disciplined lines and lengths, the pressure told. Wickets began to fall regularly, with Olivier and Aadit claiming two apiece, while the remaining wickets were shared around the attack. From that point, Alleyn’s were never realistically in the chase, eventually finishing on 160-8.
Although it was a convincing 51-run victory, we should have restricted them to well under 150. The intensity drifted once the game was effectively won, and maintaining good habits in those situations will be important as sterner tests lie ahead. Overall, though, it was a very good team performance.
