Football Update #1

Player of the Week

The deadly front due of Nebey (Year 9) and Anir (Year 9) scored two goals each for the U14C’s. Ansh (Year 8) was everywhere for the U13Bs to inspire them to a fantastic comeback win. Year 8 centre forward Jad scored a goal of the season contender (in Week 1!) with a fine strike from 35 yards. There were goals galore for the senior teams away in Tonbridge, Abishan (Year 13) scored four while Mikhail (Year 11) went one better, scoring a remarkable five goals.

Player of the week is Ezra (Year 7) who had a memorable first game in the yellow and black jersey scoring a stunning hattrick for the U12As.

Team of the Week

It was fantastic start to the season with some excellent performances in the twenty games. There were big wins for all our senior teams away at Tonbridge with sixteen goals scored in the three games. Our junior A teams went unbeaten against the invariably strong Alleyn’s in a great start to the season. The U13Bs showed character and bravery to come back from 4-1 down to win an incredible game of football 6-5.

Team of the Week in their first game are the U12As who beat Alleyn’s 3-2; this was a superb team display with all pupils working hard together.
