Following a very generous invitation by Kensington Symphony Orchestra, seven excellent instrumentalists were able to join rehearsals for a major concert of Holst's The Planets and other works at Fairfield Halls last Saturday

Sitting within the orchestra, they rehearsed Mars and Jupiter and watched the preparations for other items on the programme, including Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music.

We are very grateful to the players of Kensington Symphony Orchestra and their inspiring conductor, Russell Keable, for giving the pupils such a warm welcome and access to this unforgettable experience.
