Old Wilsonian speakers inspire current students

On Monday, we were delighted to welcome two Old Wilsonian speakers back to Wallington.

Our Year 13s enjoyed an entertaining talk from Anthony Williamson (Class of 1976) about his career, highlighting the value in taking calculated risks, sharing knowledge and trusting your own abilities.

In the afternoon, Ramón Nartallo-Kaluarachchi (Class of 2018) then delivered the second lecture in our annual Maths Circle series titled ‘Time’s Arrow: Life out of equilibrium’.

Last week, another Old Wilsonian — Oliver Preest (Class of 2021) — delivered the first lecture in our Maths Circle series titled ‘Modelling Uncertainty: Mathematics and Randomness in Markets’.

Next week, another alumnus — Shavindra Jayasekera (Class of 2018) — will deliver 2026’s final Maths Circle lecture titled ‘Stochastic Parrots and Bitter Lessons: A Tale of Machines and Language’.

Thanks to our alumni community for their continued interest in, and support of, the school — it is greatly appreciated by all of us at Mollison Drive!

If you are an Old Wilsonian that is keen to deliver a talk at Wilson's, please register your interest by completing this form.
