Wilson's School

The Art of Form Tutoring

Pastoral care lies at the heart of life at Wilson’s. While every school recognises the importance of pupil welfare, we set ourselves apart by dedicating significant staff development time and resources to enabling every pupil to flourish.

In Years 7–11, each form benefits from the support of two tutors who share responsibility for guiding and monitoring the wellbeing and academic progress of the boys in their care. The role of the tutor is central: to promote respect, responsibility, and resilience, while maintaining close communication with the Head of Year to ensure that no student is overlooked.

Next week, teachers will meet to discuss and debate the criteria for tutoring excellence at Wilson’s, ensuring that every member of staff shares a clear framework to support how they shape the personal and academic growth of our students.
