Young Enterprise Finals

On Tuesday, five Year 7 students participated in the National Careers Challenge finals in the Barbican. The group, Team Carredonia, had very high hopes given the thought and effort put in to preparing the finals. As they watched the briefing, nerves and excitement began kicking in!

Soon after the arrival briefing, they were taken to their judging panel, with four judges in the adjudicating row. Under pressure, they performed extraordinarily well, delivering a well timed, composed and complete presentation. It was very clear that the judges were impressed by the amount of effort put in to, and quality of, the props and the thought put into the design of their future, sustainable, city.

Unfortunately, Team Carredonia was not chosen to be in the head-to-head final, performed on stage in the afternoon session at the Barbican. Nevertheless, and in the words of Team Carredonia, they saw the bright side, as their hard work and collaboration had paid off, confident in the fact that they had developed some excellent ideas and presented a coherent project to the judges in such a prestigious environment.

Our congratulations to Harjit, Ranvir, Max, Leo and Nathan for their performance, as well as Tommy who - whilst an integral member of Team Carredonia - was unable to participate on the day!
