Wilson's School

Charities 2026/27 - make your vote count!

The school's annual charity vote will take place this year on Monday, 12th October. This enables students across the school to select a charity that they would like for us to support throughout the year.  We have five fantastic charities to choose from, each making a difference in our local community:

  • Sutton Night Watch: supporting people experiencing homelessness in Sutton
  • Sutton Nature Conservation Volunteers: protecting local wildlife sites and maintaining Sutton’s green spaces
  • Off The Record: offering free, confidential mental health support for young people
  • Sutton Mencap: supporting those with learning disabilities and their carers
  • St Raphael’s Hospice: providing specialist care for those with terminal or life-limiting illnesses

This year, we hope to do more than simply raise money, but actually build a closer connection to the charity through events, visits and volunteering.

Each charity represents a distinct cause. We encourage all our students to take some time to find out more about these charities and consider what cause the school should support this year.

Each vote is crucial in shaping how we as a school make a difference. Ultimately, this vote is about more than choosing a charity. It is an opportunity for us to put our school motto, Non Sibi Sed Omnibus, into action. By looking beyond ourselves and choosing to support those who need it most, we can make a meaningful contribution to our wider community. Whatever charity you choose, we hope that this year’s campaign inspires us all to give our time, our energy and our support to something bigger than ourselves.
