Wilson’s U13As produced a strong start to the season, securing a 41-run victory over Rutlish. Batting first, Wilson’s posted 140-6 from their 20 overs. After a shaky start at 3 wickets down in just the 4th over, the innings was steadied brilliantly by Tritish on his A team debut. He retired on 50 from 46 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes. Will provided excellent support with a quickfire 40 from just 25 deliveries, helping the team reach a competitive total. In the field, the bowling effort was shared well across the team, with everyone (bar Arjun) contributing at least two overs. While there were some early signs of rust, the boys quickly settled into consistent lines and lengths. Rahavan was the standout performer, claiming 3 wickets, with further contributions from Leo, Morishwar, Sarvesh, Guhan and Sulloch. Rutlish finished on 99-9 from their 20 overs.
Wilson’s U13Bs made an outstanding start to their season with a dominant 160-run victory over Rutlish. Batting first, Wilson’s posted an imposing 197-5 from their 20 overs. Captain Vivaan Bharat (18*) provided a steady foundation, well supported by Rishaan who produced a superb unbeaten 52*, striking 8 fours and 2 sixes before retiring. Ralph added a lively 16, including four boundaries, as the team built an excellent total. The bowling unit then delivered a clinical performance to wrap up the win. Advik was exceptional with figures of 3-3, while Sam impressed with 2-1. The rest of the attack maintained great discipline, consistently bowling full and straight, proving too much for Rutlish who were bowled out for just 37. Behind the stumps, Daksh contributed with two sharp stumpings off the bowling of Sam and Shrihaan, who also claimed 2-9.
Wilson's 14B produced a dominant all-round performance to post an impressive 159 for 2 from their 20 overs. The batting effort was built around strong contributions from Arjun (35), Nilavan (31), and Aditya (30), all of whom retired after solid knocks. 1 In response, Rutlish struggled to gain any momentum. Aditya produced a match-winning spell, claiming a hat-trick that triggered a collapse, as Rutlish were bowled out for just 64. It was a complete performance from Wilson’s, with Aditya standing out for his exceptional contributions with both bat and ball.
Wilson’s U12A started the season with an impressive performance against Rutlish. Being put in to bat, Reyansh (33 retired) and Ishaan (18 retired) ran expertly between the wickets and were quick to capitalise on any boundary opportunities. Following them, Vivaan (39 retired) and Akshat (28 retired) both displayed an excellent range of strokes and power as they moved the score along quickly. We amassed an impressive 177-2 in our 20 overs. The bowling and fielding was equally impressive as Reyansh pulled off a direct hit from to the non-strikers end from cover point to run out the Rutlish opener without scoring! Left-armer's, Arnav (2-0) and Nilin (2-4) bowled with pace and accuracy and made further in-roads, as did Vishnu Naren (2-9) in the first 6 overs. Neither Suvir Jaryal or Reyansh Chandra conceded a run from their two overs and Akshat Sharma (2-4) wrapped the game up in style. As a bowling unit we only bowled two wides in 15 overs which is a very encouraging start.
Wilson’s 12B won the toss and elected to bat first against Rutlish 12B, producing an impressive all round performance. A positive approach with the bat, combined with sharp running between the wickets, helped Wilson’s post a strong total of 162 for 3. There were several valuable contributions across the lineup, with Yohan (19), Daiwik (19), Sulaiman (15), and Advait (13) all making solid starts and keeping the scoreboard moving. In response, Rutlish were restricted to 96 for 9 from their 20 overs. The fielding effort was disciplined, highlighted by tidy bowling and a couple of well-taken catches that helped maintain pressure throughout the innings. Sulaiman was the standout with the ball, finishing with excellent figures of 3 for 13. Despite the convincing win, Wilson’s bowlers will look to improve their consistency, as they occasionally dropped short in length. Tightening this area will make them even more effective in future matches.
Wilson’s 1st XI were put into the field after losing the toss against Alleyn’s School. It proved to be a solid bowling performance, with Pratham leading the attack through an excellent spell of fast bowling, finishing with 2 for 22. He was well supported by Viabhav, whose controlled leg spin claimed 2 for 18. Together, they helped restrict Alleyn’s to 120 for 20 overs. Despite the strong effort with the ball, a couple of dropped catches and some untidy fielding meant Wilson’s missed the opportunity to limit the opposition to under 100. Chasing 121 for victory, Wilson’s required a steady run-a-ball, but the innings got off to a shaky start with Ved being run out inside the first five overs. The middle order then steadied things, with Adhrit playing a composed and watchful innings of 39 from 32 balls. He was supported by Saisurya (19 from 21 balls) and Raghav (16 from 18 balls), who kept the scoreboard ticking and the chase on track. The match came down to the final over, with Wilson’s needing 7 runs to win. With 6 required, Pratham held his nerve and struck a six over cover point, sealing a dramatic victory for Wilson’s by 4 wickets.
Wilson's U15A delivered a dominant performance to secure a convincing 95-run victory over St Olave’s. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Wilson’s set the tone early thanks to a superb innings from Luca, whose fantastic century ensured a commanding total was always on the cards. He was well supported by Sevin (24) and Olly (19), who both made valuable contributions as the innings progressed. Wilson’s finished strongly on 195 for 5 from their 20 overs. In reply, St Olave’s never looked likely to challenge the target. The bowling effort was shared effectively across the team, with regular wickets keeping the pressure firmly on the opposition. Tanush was a standout performer, finishing with two wickets to go alongside a run out. St Olave’s closed their innings on 100 for 9, sealing a comprehensive win for Wilson’s. A strong all-round display, though tougher challenges lie ahead Wilson's U14A secured an impressive 67-run victory over St Olave’s in a commanding all-round performance. After losing the toss and being put into bat, Wilson’s made a strong start thanks to an excellent opening partnership between Kiaan and Prateek. Prateek led the way with an attacking 46 off 31 balls, setting the tone early. Aadit then carried the momentum forward with a well-constructed unbeaten 44 from 35 deliveries. Despite wickets falling in the latter stages as the team pushed the scoring, Wilson’s posted a formidable total of 183 for 7. In response, St Olave’s never looked fully committed to chasing down the target. While the bowling performance showed some signs of rustiness, wickets were taken at regular intervals to keep the opposition in check. A highlight was captain Prateek’s superb double-wicket maiden, which effectively halted any potential momentum. St Olave’s were eventually restricted to 116, giving Wilson’s a convincing 67-run win.
Wilson's U13A secured a hard-fought 16-run victory over St Olave’s, overcoming challenging conditions to deliver a strong all-round performance. Playing on an astro hockey pitch with a roll-out mat wicket, Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. The decision to open with Guhan alongside Arjun proved inspired, as the pair laid a solid foundation. Guhan led the way with an excellent 53 off 50 balls, retiring in the 19th over after anchoring the innings. Arjun contributed a steady 24 from 31 deliveries, while Morishwar added a quick 12 from 11, helping Wilson’s post a competitive 141 for 7 from their 20 overs. With the ball, the focus was on maintaining a disciplined line and length, and the team executed this well. St Olave’s attempted to build partnerships, but a series of tight overs through the middle of the innings swung the momentum firmly in Wilson’s favour. The required run rate continued to climb, leaving the opposition under constant pressure. Morishwar was the standout bowler, returning excellent figures of 2 for 5 from his spell, while Arjun impressed in the field with two sharp catches. St Olave’s finished on 125 for 6, giving Wilson’s a deserved 16-run win.
Wilson’s U12A produced a dominant performance to secure a comprehensive 9-wicket victory over St Olave’s. After winning the toss, St Olave’s elected to bat but struggled from the outset to build any meaningful total. The standout performance came from spinner Reyansh, who delivered an outstanding spell, taking 5 wickets for just 3 runs and dismantling the opposition batting line-up. St Olave’s were eventually bowled out for 57. In reply, Wilson’s made light work of the chase, reaching 58 for 1 with ease.
